I feel that Ishmael Beah was telling us that the war has spread everyone apart from each other. People don't trust one another. The boys don't even talk to each other sometimes, people are even scared of twelve year old boys. Like when they were captured and almost was killed.
Ishmael Beah in my thought had one of the worst parts of the book so far in these chapters, because he lost his brother. I think as the book moves on the feelings of Ishmael Beah are getting worse and worse. He is becoming more worried and suspicious of everything and everyone. The boys can't even go into any town with out scaring or getting hurt by other people thinking they are rebels. What is a little humorous is that rap music and their rap gang has saved them once again from death.
These chapters have also less blood and graphic parts. The only bad one was when imam was burned in the book. So that is good.
I still can't imagine what it must feel like to not eat a decent meal. They been eating unripeness oranges. Which taste awful.
By the ending of these chapters, Ishmael was alone with a friend I wonder what ch:8-9 will bring me.

Good thoughts. I agree with the rap saving them, it is humorous. Keep up the good work
