A Long Way Gone Ch:13-14

These chapters were so depressing. Ishmael had to kill the rebels for the army. The army was just like the rebels. It was horrible. I felt so bad for him. Everything just went wrong for him. Most of the kids were younger than him. They couldn't even defend for themselves. Then Ishmael had to take drugs. It was like three drugs at a time. They destroyed his mind. He was killing these rebels angrily. It was pretty bad. Then when he killed the prisoners for the contest to be the best. That was unbelievable. Then at night they all watch movies. The movies were all war kind. Which is not good for them. They would get brainwashed from watching this. It was horrible for their minds. Then the drugs, lack of sleep, anger, depression, no family, no nothing, just destroyed them inside. I just hope that in the future that Ishmael will soon get out of this madness.

I definitely agree with everything you are saying, and It's rough knowing this happened to a little kid like him. It's not just rough knowing that, its also rough know that it is still presently going on today.
